Plagiarism Statement

The Social Archives (TSA) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism in all forms. The journal upholds the principles of academic honesty and integrity, ensuring that all published works are original and properly attributed.

Before the peer review process, every submitted manuscript is subjected to a plagiarism check using Turnitin, a reliable similarity detection software. Manuscripts showing a similarity index above 19% (excluding references) or with single source exceeding 5% (even if the Total Similarity Index is below 19%)  are either returned to the author for revision or rejected outright.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • All content, including text, figures, tables, and data, is original or properly cited.
  • Quotations, paraphrases, and borrowed ideas are clearly acknowledged.
  • Permission is obtained for any copyrighted material used.

If plagiarism, duplication, or data fabrication is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the manuscript will be rejected or the published article will be retracted immediately, and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.

TSA follows the ethical standards and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling cases of plagiarism and publication misconduct.
